PORCH South Brunswick is running a Community Food Drive through Wednesday, August 12 at 3 p.m., and our neighborhood has a convenient drop-off location right here at home.
Bring unexpired food and household items to Beverly and Leigh Rounds at 1027 Softwind Way. Pop-top cans are preferred, and please — no glass containers or expired food.
Most-needed items: 1lb spaghetti (pot size preferred), 24 oz Hunts tomato sauce, individual snacks (granola bars, crackers, cookie packs, chips), boxed cold cereal, oatmeal and grits, bottled water and Gatorade, individual mac & cheese, canned or jarred fruit and applesauce, rice and instant potatoes, canned chicken and tuna (or individual packets), peanut butter and jelly (plastic bottles), toiletries, and paper products.
Every donation stays local. Collected food goes directly to BSRI Senior Pantries, Boiling Spring Lakes Food Pantry, Southport Elementary School, and Brunswick Family Assistance.
You have until Wednesday, August 12 at 3 p.m. — a few extra cans from your pantry can make a real difference for a neighbor in need.
